You really want Calcite Lime if possible although Dolomite will work - it's the Calcium Carbonate in the lime that does the actual buffering. Dolomite contains more excessive Mg than is usually required. A lot of the organic crew like using crustacean meal (shrimp, lobster, crab) because the crushed/ground shells are like 98% Calcium Carbonate.
